In these two free courses, you’ll learn about products and features built into Shopify that help merchants achieve their international selling ambitions. Learn about available tools and how Managed Markets supports international selling before diving into who is the best fit for each solution.

Before starting on this path we recommend you have familiarity with the Shopify platform and the co-selling process learned through Selling Shopify Fundamentals.

Assessment details

  • The assessment consists of 40 scored questions and will take approximately 60 minutes to complete. There is no time limit for the assessment.
  • A score of 80% will earn a Shopify Verified Skills badge shareable via Credly.
  • Assessments may contain up to 10 additional unscored questions that do not impact your results. These are inserted randomly into the assessment to gather data for future testing.
  • Badges are valid for two years from the date of successful completion.

  • Define and differentiate between international sales tools and engaged markets for international selling
  • Identify the roles that will primarily interact with or decide on international selling tools
  • Establish the importance of international selling to a merchant’s business 
  • Determine the qualifying merchant criteria for international products 

Positioning International Selling Tools and Managed Markets: 65%

  • Recognize the benefits and differentiators of international sales tools for international selling
  • Recognize the benefits and differentiators of Shopify Managed Markets products for international selling
  • Identify merchant business goals and blockers that would trigger a conversation about Shopify’s international products
  • Formulate effective questions to determine merchants’ needs
  • Pitch Shopify international sales tools or Managed Markets solutions to qualified merchants that match their business goals
  • Respond to common merchant objections
