About this learning path

Prepare to work with prospects to understand their requirements, work alongside Shopify to win more deals, and craft a compelling pitch using our key value pillars. In this series of courses, you’ll learn how to effectively co-sell with Shopify Sales teams, conduct discovery conversations with prospects, and pitch and position Shopify using Shopify’s key value propositions and competitive messaging.

Before starting on this path, we recommend that you are familiar with the Shopify platform and its features. You can take the following courses for a high level overview of Shopify, its platform, and the partner program.

Assessment details

  • The assessment consists of 40 scored questions and will take approximately 40 minutes to complete. There is no time limit for the assessment.
  • A score of 80% will earn a Shopify Verified Skill badge shareable via Credly.
  • Assessments may contain up to 10 additional unscored questions that do not impact your results. These are inserted randomly into the assessment to gather data for future testing.
  • Badges are valid for two years from the date of successful completion.

  • Describe the steps of the Shopify sales cycle and identify the Shopify teams you’ll work with at each stage
  • Navigate key relationships with Shopify teams you’ll work with by understanding how they can best be leveraged to support a deal
  • Recognize what is needed to qualify a lead and when the best time is to submit one for effective co-selling 

Sales Prospecting and Discovery: 25%

  • Evaluate prospects to determine merchant fit across each market segment (Mid-Market, Large Accounts, Enterprise)
  • Lead a discovery conversation with thoughtful questions to identify merchant challenges and priorities
  • Predict the most common objections by market segment, leveraging Shopify knowledge and resources to respond
